DAZN is the top-grossing on-demand sports platform worldwide. Their mission is to connect the world of sport by producing the most detailed and engaging content.

DAZN commissioned Method to to help them design the digital product and incubate a product team that would help them realize their vision to disrupt and democratize the sports broadcasting sector.

Bringing DAZN to life

The project centred around the challenge of bringing the DAZN brand to life and shaping the entire user experience of the platform. My role involved developing the DAZN ident – a short animation that brings the logo to life during broadcasts and streamed content.

I wanted the ident animation to reflect the variety of sports content that DAZN offers. It was key to capture the speed and energy inherent in so many sports.

I developed a number of approaches, each influenced by the movements of different sports – the acceleration of a Formula 1 car, the collision of an American Football player. This approach not only added variety and life to the DAZN brand but allowed them to develop new idents going forward.
