Environmental Design
Globe Telecom, the major provider of telecommunications services in the Philippines, operating one of the largest mobile, fixed line, and broadband networks in the country.
Eight Inc was commissioned to develop a new retail experience, defining a new purpose for the physical store environment in an industry dominated by E-commerce.

Selling an experience
The new Globe Retail Experience is designed to engage customers and encourage them to explore the use of gadgets and technology. The store allows customers to get hands-on with new products and experience the benefits that these can bring to different aspects of their lives.
The space is divided into themed zones: Music, Entertainment, Lifestyle and Productivity. Each zone showcases different aspects of smartphones and complementary connected products and services.
I designed the look and feel of these themed zones, providing a flexible, modular approach to content that can be updated regularly.
This shift in approach to the retail environment allows Globe to sell the experience of being a Globe customer, rather than the traditional approach of selling data plans or handsets.
The result has been a nearly 140% increase in sales for the Flagship and Regional channels and a completely new stream of revenue through specialty products in the categories of Music, Entertainment, Lifestyle and Productivity.
