Graphic Design

Deconstructing Christmas
We purchased a pine tree and headed to a wood chipper to get the tree chipped. We returned to the studio with a sack of disintegrated tree remnants, smelling heavily of pine.
We then constructed cone moulds and glued together lengths of tree lights and clusters of baubles. The lights were connected to a car battery (hidden under the cone) to avoid any external wires disrupting the space around the installation.
The deconstructed tree became a talking point for visitors to our studio as well as filling the space with a beautiful fresh pine scent.
The tree was featured in Design Week's round up of studio Christmas Trees
Careful construction of the heaped pile of tree remnants.
